How to Add Markers to a Plan in CrewBox

Pin the exact spots on the drawing where work, issues, and photos live.

Enter edit mode

  1. Open the project's Plans area and pick a plan page from the navigator.
  2. Switch the viewer into Edit mode. Two tools become available: Add and Move.

Marker placement is supported on image plans (PNG/JPEG) — PDF pages open in a dedicated viewer instead.

Place a marker

  1. Select the Add tool.
  2. Click anywhere on the plan to drop a marker at that spot.
  3. Zoom (mouse wheel or buttons, 0.2x–5x) and pan first if you need pixel-level placement.

Reposition a marker

  1. Select the Move tool.
  2. Drag any marker to its new position.

Read the colors

Markers are color-coded pins:

  • Green — the marker has photos attached.
  • Red — the marker is empty.

So a wall of red pins is a to-shoot list, and green pins mean documented locations. The plan pages navigator also shows a marker-count badge on each page thumbnail.

Find a marker later

Use search in the Plans area — it filters markers by name, description, and even the content of their photos, documents, and comments.
