How to Tag and Organize Photos in CrewBox

Tags are short, reusable labels shared by the whole company — the fastest way to make media findable later.

Steps

1. Tag a single photo in the viewer

Open a photo and expand the Tags accordion. The tag manager opens from there.

2. Search or create in the tag manager

The tag manager is search-or-create: type to find an existing tag, or create a new one inline if nothing matches. It's duplicate-aware, so the whole company keeps picking from one shared vocabulary instead of inventing near-duplicates.

3. Tag many photos at once

For a batch, enter Select mode on the Photos tab, check the photos, and choose Tag from the bulk Actions menu — the chosen tags are applied to every selected item.

4. Use tags to filter and group

Tags pay off immediately:

  • Filter the Photos tab and Images page by tags.
  • Set Group by to Label to see media organized under its tags.

5. Rely on consistent colors

Tags get deterministic colors that stay the same everywhere — grids, viewers, and even the color-coded pills in PDF reports.
